Wall Decal Application Instructions

Prepare Decal

Some decals will come rolled up because of the length. Unroll the decal and let it set flat until it stops wanting to roll itself up. The decals have a transfer tape (looks and feels like masking tape) on one side and backing paper (white with lines) on the other side. Before peeling the backing paper off, gently rub the surface of transfer tape to insure the decal is adhered solidly to the transfer tape.

Surface Preparation

Use a tape measure or a ruler to determine the exact area where the decal will be placed. Make sure the surface is clean, smooth, and dry. The decal will not adhere to stucco or brick like surfaces.

For freshly painted walls we recommend waiting 30 days before applying wall decals. The paint needs time to fully cure.

Application

Carefully peel the backing paper away from the decal, which should remain on the transfer tape. The decal can not be repositioned, so be careful to line it up where you want it. Remove any air bubbles by using any flat plastic card, such as a debit card, to apply light pressure over the design.

For larger decals we recommend using blue painters tape to make a hinge at the top, peel the transfer tape up from the bottom, remove the backing paper, and apply the decal from top to bottom.

Transfer Tape Removal

Carefully peel back the transfer tape in a slow and steady corner to corner motion. This will leave the decal on your surface. Enjoy your new wall decal!
